Gaver's Lagoon

Since the 4th of July fell on a Sunday this year a lot of people had Monday off, including Josh. Since he doesn't take very many days off, we decided to take Kameron fishing.

Josh bought Kameron a fishing pole last summer, but he just recently learned how to cast really well. So, Josh has been wanting to take hime fishing. We finally took a family trip to Gaver's Lagoon...

This was Kameron's first time fishing. We tried to take him fishing last year, but he really wasn't interested. Once he learned how to cast he was ready.

Kameron loves spending time with Daddy...and he wants to do everything he does.

Taelyn was excited to go fishing too. She had her own pole and everything. But she wasn't too sure how to use it. She kept playing swords with it. She still had alot of fun.

Daddy finally caught a fish and let Taelyn reel it in.

Then he caught another one. This time it was Kameron's turn to reel it in.

Showing off his fish.

And another one....

And another one.

Although Kameron never caught his own, he still loved reeling in hid Dad's fish. He keeps asking us when we're going to go fishing again. Hopefully we'll plan another family outing to Gaver's lagoon.

On the way home Taelyn had Daddy's hat and was acting silly.

Peek-A-Boo!

Since we left around 6:00 we decided to go to Snow Bunny for dinner. After dinner the kids got ice cream. They were so excited. Kameron decided to play with his ice cream cone. He was pretending it was a person.

So what did Kameron's ice cream cone say to Taelyn's, "Hey your head's kind of small." Where does this kid come up with this stuff.

It was a great day!

Kameron's 4th Birthday!

This last Saturday was Kameron's 4th birthday. I can't believe it has already been 4 years since we first met him.

That was then...

This is Now!!
Who is this kid?!?! I can't believe he's 4!

Party Time
Kameron was so excited for his birthday this year. He was counting down the days. He knew exactly what he wanted, who he wanted to invite, and what cake he wanted.

But the morning of his birthday, he woke up not so happy. We brought him breakfast in bed, but as you can see he cried.

We knew some people that had a jump house, so we borrowed it for Kam's party. Josh thought I was crazy for wanting a Jump House...he said he's already too spoiled. But c'mon doesn't that look fun?

 He loved it! Thanks Dad!

I think he & Tae thought it was actually ours to keep.

And of course, I had to try it out also.

Kameron really liked having all of his friends & cousins
at his party.

After we ate a little lunch we had some cake.
Every time we went to Albertson's Kameron would look at the cakes. He picked out a 'Dig Dig' cake.
Instead of ordering his cake from Albertson's we found a plain cake at Wal-Mart and put our own dig digs on it. They loved it.

 Blowing out the candles.

Enjoying some birthday cake. I think he actually ate the frosting and the ice cream, no cake.

Another thing Kameron really wanted for his birthday was a Pinata. He chose a Transformer one. But I wasn't too sure about having a bunch of 4 year olds swinging a stick around trying to hit a pinata, so we went the safe route. We got the pull-string pinata.

 Much safer...

Presents

Kameron could not wait to open his presents. Daddy got him a baseball glove.

He got a new tie and a book from his friend Cameron.

Wyatt gave him a really nice Construction Truck lunch box filled with lots of goodies. And a new book.

His cousin Joshua gave him lots of bubbles.

A race car from his buddy Andrew.

And the one thing he wanted and could hardly wait to open....

 A Garbage Truck!!
As you can see, by his cheesy little smile, he was so excited.

Then, before it was time to go....more jumping!

And then we had to say goodbye to the jump house. But everyone enjoyed helping get all the air out.
At the end of the day we asked Kameron what his favorite part of his party was....
"Opening my presents!"

Kameron, Happy Birthday!! We hope you had a wonderful day.
Until next year...

A day at the water park!

A few Saturdays ago, my friend Chante called and asked if I wanted to go for a bike ride. We decided to pack up all the kids into bike trailers and ride to the water park.

I hadn't ridden a bike in years, but I loved it! I was scared that pulling the kids in a trailer was going to be tough, but it wasn't, and the kids loved riding in the trailer.

At first, they were all a little unsure about this...
(At the top of this pole were 3 yellow buckets that would dump water, they watched these very closely.)

But it didn't take long for them to get wet.

And once they did, they were soaked!!

Kameron and Taelyn love the water, they've been playing in the sprinkler at home. But they loved the little water park.

 Trying no to get wet.

I don't know what Taelyn was doing here, but it was funny. She's such a crazy little girl.

Kameron running from the water.

After they played in the water, they found a little patch of dirt and had to play with their trucks. Boys will be boys.
(Kameron & Wyatt playing with their construction trucks.)

When Taelyn was done playing in the water, she wanted to walk around and look at all the trees and flower. I told her to hug the tree, so I could take a picture.

She decided she wanted to Kiss the tree.

Kameron & Wyatt also enjoyed walking on the wall.

After playin in the water we rode our bikes to McDonald's for some lunch. The kids had such a great time. Thanks Wyatt, Waylen & Chante for the fun day!
